He studied architecture at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture. Additionally, he studied architecture at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and New York, NY, where he received a Master of Architecture. Landon’s work is influenced by this architectural education along with a background in construction and excavation. Since 2010 he has been an instructor in architecture programs focusing on undergraduate level design studios, as well as, undergraduate and graduate level representation seminars.
#STILLLIFE is an exploration of still life composition elements : foreground, middle ground, background, object and subject. The drawings serve as studies for the paintings and are exhibited as a documentation of the process of abstraction. In general, the work of Landon Robinson is concerned with the uses, concepts and techniques of abstraction.
